DEATH WORKERS ALLIANCE

The Death Workers’ Alliance brings together end-of-life (EOL) practitioners working with and in marginalized communities.

We are working for a future in which every member of our community can live life knowing that they are prepared for a dignified death.

Vision

The Death Workers Alliance is centered around equity at the end of life. It was created to bring together death doulas and other end-of-life (EOL) practitioners working with and in marginalized communities for a future in which every community member can live life knowing they are prepared for a dignified and meaningful death.

During the past decade, I’ve engaged, led, and participated in many end-of-life spaces and BIPOC voices are severely underrepresented in these community gatherings. This is why I began organizing BIPOC death doulas and the Death Workers Alliance is a natural extension of that work to bring together end-of-life workers serving communities with limited access to affordable and dignified end-of-life services.

Get involved

If you are an end-of-life worker working in or interested in serving marginalized communities, get in touch to see how we can work together.
